Everyone's theology is wrong

Ok, it's a little old, but I just found this article in Christianity Today. It's an interview with Ben Witherington, who is one biblical studies scholar that is on top of his game. I've read a few of his books and they are fantastic -- his work has been a real blessing to me in my own research.

I find it particularly satisfying to my warped sense of propriety that he slaps just about everyone in the face. Of course he does it lovingly. But I like the direction he is going: it's not just about everyone getting along, hugging each other and singing campfire songs. It's about realizing that we need to get out of the fortress and actually figure some things out, at least as well as we can.

Done

Well after nearly two years the seminary experience has come to a close. Yesterday I finished my last final...I'm done. My actual graduation won't be until May of next year but for all intents and purposes everything is completed.

What now??? Who knows...I'm not sure how I will be able to handle the new level of simplicity in life. I will probably try to complicate things just to stay comfortable. A few new things:
- I'm teaching Church History for the winter term at North Portland Bible College starting in January.
- I'm going to blog all the freakin time now (yeah right)
- I'm going to read for enjoyment for the first time in a long time, and maybe start working on writing that book (you know, that one)

Right now I can only breathe an immense sight of relief and wait for the reality to hit me.
